SFDH Goes High Tech!

whale sharkSFDH teams up with Dan Crowel one of TDI's top Instructor Trainers. Dan has been teaching tech and rebreathers since the mid 90s and has been diving rebreathers for over decade. As an underwater cinematographer he has been all across the globe, with his rebreathers and as a TV producer he has just wrapped up a four part series for the Military Channel, "Quest for Sunken Warships" where every episode was shot using rebreathers.
Rebreather Course

Rebreathers

Many divers are under the impression that rebreathers are reserved for deep divers, tech or military divers only. This couldn't be further from the truth. Rebreathers are just another way of doing what regular scuba does, but in a much more efficient manner. How about never having to figure out the best nitrox mix for a dive because no matter where you go you'll always have the perfect mix. Or, how about doing a dive to 60 ft. for three hours with nothing more than what's on your back, and no decompression obligation? The reality is rebreathers offer greater benefits at recreational depths than at any other level.

Lobster Bash

MacDr. Ray's annual end of the season lobster bash was more fun than watching Simon Cowel critique a contestant. With over a hundred guests all 110 lobsters were consumed.

All of a sudden a bunch of pickers started up and we had a good old fashion ho down!

For those of you that don't know Dr. Ray McCallister, he is Professor Emeritus of Ocean Engineering at FAU, an environmental activist and considered to be the father of diving in SE Florida.
Hope to see all of you soon,
