Night Diver Specialty Course
|
Night diving is like diving the same reef for the first time. The day feeders go to sleep and the night feeders come alive.
The filter feeders extend their tentacles to capture food. The reef almost seems like it is moving as the tentacles sway back and forth in the current. Your high powered dive light illuminates the reef creating a brilliant display of colors. If you are lucky enough to catch a coral spawn you will be reminded of a volcano erupting. Some of the most basic skills (ascents, descents, navigation etc.) can become disorientating at night.
The Night Diving Specialty Course teaches you about night dive planning, equipment and navigation. You practice these on three night dives, plus introduce yourself to the whole new cast of critters that comes out after the sun goes down.
