Labontee Reef
Location: Pompano Beach (middle reef)
Description: Nice shallow reef with an eastern and western facing ledge, running parallel to the shoreline. Tropicals are abundant here. This area is also known for lobster. A great training area in the sand on the western edge. Nurse sharks are seen here resting under the western ledge.
Navigation: The western edge is the best, however there are some good spots on the eastern facing edge as well.. Navigating can be a challenge due to the gaps in the reef edge in places.
