Horseshoe Reef
Location: Pompano Beach (middle reef)
Description: Great site with three horseshoe shaped re-entrants to the reef. Grouper, snapper, large moray eels, trumpet fish, & spotted drums have been seen here. Large numbers of small barracuda are common. The eastern side of the ledge has great ledges as well.
Navigation: Navigation can be challenging, the reef edge meanders like a snake. On the north end large horseshoe cut outs form nice undercut ledges. Follow the reef edge until it starts to die out. Then head east a little and double back along the eastern edge.
