Lynn’s Reef
Location: Boynton Beach (outer reef)
Description: Lynn's Reef has become synonymous with Lynn Simmons the pioneer of Boynton Beach Diving. This reef is a must if you are diving in Boynton Beach! There so many areas besides the main ledge that are interesting as well. The main ledge has a double step feature and half way down the reef on the western side is an area called "Table Tops" that is worth investigating. Towards the north eastern end is an area called "Jump", there is a gap in the reef with ledges running east and west. Following the main ledge to the north end and you will find a smaller ledge heading back south. One of the local residence that is seen on occasion is a 10 ft Lemon Shark known as "Mellow Yellow".
Navigation: For a north current drop in north of "Castle Rocks" and follow the main ledge with a slight detour to west at "Table Tops". Once you get close to the north end either swim east and do the "Jump" or continue north and explore the north hook. If you still have time remaining swim over the north hook and you will come to 2 large outcroppings broken off from the reef.
