Paul’s Reef
Location: Lake Worth (outer reef)
Description: Paul's Reef was named after Paul Lazeau Sr., one of the earlier pioneers of diving in Palm Beach County. The south end features an "Amphitheater" full of marine life. From there you can either tour the main western ledge or stay on top the reef and dive the "Collapsed Feature" with ledges in a complete circle. The reef is colored with sea fans, ball anemones, barrel sponges, elephant ear sponges. Marine species include parrotfish, eels, stingrays and occasional guitar shark. This is one of the best reefs for photographers you never what you are going to see!
Navigation: For a north current begin in the "Amphitheater". For a south current start at the very northern end where the sands meets the reef edge then choose the top or main ledge.
